MARQ Trustees was pleased to sponsore the Carbon Market Institute’s 10th Carbon Farming Industry Forum in Western Australia.
CFO Matthew Haynes and General Counsel Matthew Moses represented MARQ Trustees across a valuable few days in Fremantle, joining more than 300 delegates for discussions on policy, market integrity, investment, capacity and the future of land-based climate solutions.
A highlight was the visit to the Biologic Gidgegannup Biodiverse Carbon Project, which gave us a practical look at the work being done on the ground to restore land, support biodiversity and generate high-integrity carbon outcomes.
It was great to hear from a number of our clients and market leaders, including Nigel Sharp of Tiverton Global and Phil Ireland of Carbon Neutral, together with many others who are helping shape the future of Australia’s carbon and environmental markets.
The commitment in the room to improving the land, supporting regional communities and contributing to better environmental outcomes was clear. We leave the forum with a stronger appreciation for the passion and leadership across the sector.
