MARQ Private Funds provides trustee services for managed investment schemes. Our Australian Financial Services Licence provides the proper structure through which investors are able to pool funds, and acquire premium assets through a managed investment scheme. Our services assist fund and investment managers to meet their compliance obligations in line with the Corporations Act 2001 and the complex Australian Financial Services licensing regime
MARQ Private Advisory provides the knowledge and support required firstly to establish a managed investment scheme, and secondly to operate it. Our advisory services cover most core operational tasks, other than asset management. This includes feasibility, detailed financial modelling, tax structuring and assistance, preparation of disclosure documents, due diligence committee and related services, day to day administration, responsible manager services, independent director services, compliance plan reviews, distributions to investors and most other services that an investment fund may need.
Additionally, we provide clients with access to third-party specialist skills that investment schemes require; legal, accounting, property, valuation, banking, production of information memorandums, communications, translation, and related marketing disciplines.
MARQ Private Registry provides the establishment and operation of the Unit Registry for funds. Our services cover maintaining the register of Unit Holders, liaising with external accountants for the preparation of Annual Investment Income Report (AIIR) returns, attending to statutory reporting – including Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) reporting – managing unitholder distributions, and managing and distributing statutory and general communications (electronic and print) to unitholders. As a key part of our services, we ensure a fund’s registry complies with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 and the Privacy Act 1988.
