MARQ Trustees is thrilled to announce the launch of the Australian Fisheries Investment Trust, a unique investment opportunity designed to deliver medium to long-term capital growth by investing in premium, sustainable Australian wild-caught fisheries.
Managed by Atlantis Fisheries Consulting Group, this closed-end unit trust aims to create a diversified portfolio of Fishing Rights across Commonwealth, State, and Territory-managed fisheries.

The Australian Fishing Zone is the third largest in the world and is 16 per cent larger than the Australian landmass.
Fishing Rights are a unique asset class with low correlation to traditional markets, offering potential for both income and capital growth. The Fund’s investment strategy focuses on acquiring and managing Fishing Rights that meet stringent sustainability and profitability criteria. This includes targeting fisheries with high lease demand, strong local and global market channels, and robust management plans.
With a target portfolio size of $180 million, the fund is committed to making strategic investments that not only generate returns for investors but also contribute to the sustainable management of Australia’s valuable fisheries resources.
